Sign in without a password

v1.9

New

  • Sign in with a link sent to your email. Enter your address, open the mail, and you are in — nothing to choose, forget, or reset.

Improved

  • Passwords are gone from Flowcove entirely. Email links and Google are the two ways in, so there is no password left to leak or share.

  • Sign in, sign up, invitations and email verification now share one layout instead of four that had quietly drifted apart.

  • A Flowcove email never prints your sign-in link as readable text any more. The link lives in the button, so a forwarded thread or a glanced-at phone screen no longer hands someone a way in.

The portal leads with what is waiting on you

v1.8

New

  • Clients open the portal to a single “Needs your attention” list: approvals to give and messages to answer, above the fold. When there is nothing, it says so plainly.

  • The portal now runs on the same shell as the dashboard — a proper sidebar, consistent page headers, and one navigation model across both sides.

Improved

  • Clients see three honest states — waiting on you, in progress, done — rather than your agency's internal workflow columns.

  • Work cards carry the brief, the attachment count and the status, so a client can read the list without opening anything.

  • Comments and messages read as a conversation, and the composer stays pinned so you never scroll to the bottom to type.

  • Empty screens explain what belongs there instead of showing a blank page.

  • The portal is served from your agency's own address, so a client stays on one domain from the invite onwards.

  • A new brand colour across the product and the site.

Fixed

  • The Documents screen failed to load for every signed-in contact. It no longer does.

  • A wrong turn inside the portal shows the portal's own not-found page rather than the agency dashboard's.

Early access in the product

v1.7

Improved

  • Every new agency gets full Agency-level limits during early access — 20 team members, unlimited clients, 100 GB storage, and every capability unlocked.

  • Onboarding welcomes you to early access instead of asking you to pick a plan.

A conversation with your client

v1.6

New

  • One conversation thread per client — messages live together instead of scattered across individual tasks.

  • Clients can ask for work and attach files to their replies from the portal.

  • The portal shows a client's own work as a simple list, not your agency's kanban board.

  • See how many tasks are shared with each client, and share or hide them all in one action.

Improved

  • Messages read as a conversation, with chat-style bubbles on both sides.

  • Portal emails explain clearly what they are and why the client received them.

Fixed

  • A client task page no longer shows your internal workflow statuses.

  • New messages highlight when they arrive, including in the client conversation.

  • Opening the create-task modal no longer crashes the dashboard.

Client logos and a rebuilt email shell

v1.5

New

  • Give each client their own logo. Upload it from the client's page and it replaces the generic building icon everywhere that client appears, including the sidebar.

  • Resend a contact's portal invite without removing them and adding them again.

Improved

  • Every transactional email — portal links, invites, comment notifications — now renders through one consistent branded template instead of four separately maintained layouts.

Fixed

  • A comment notification could still reach someone who had been removed from the workspace. It no longer does.

The client portal, rebuilt

v1.4

New

  • The client portal is rebuilt on the same shell as the dashboard, with threaded replies, approvals and file access for clients.

  • Templates carry an icon and a colour you choose, and templates and documents can show cover images.

Improved

  • The member role is now honest about what it can do — the interface no longer offers members controls the server would refuse.

  • Search engines see correct canonical URLs and organisation details sitewide.

Fixed

  • Relative timestamps advance as time passes instead of freezing at whatever they said when the page loaded.

  • Covers are served with their real file type, so they display instead of downloading.

  • The portal keeps a background check running alongside its live connection, so an update can no longer be missed if the socket goes quiet.

A task panel built for conversation

v1.3

New

  • The task feed is one chat stream, with Media, Links and Docs gathered into their own sections beside it.

  • The composer stays pinned to the bottom, and replying opens directly under the message you are answering rather than at the foot of the page.

  • The sidebar names your agency, and the app carries the cove mark.

Improved

  • A new cove mark and the Tomato Grotesk typeface across the marketing site and the sign-in pages, so the brand no longer changes mid-signup.

Fixed

  • Replying to a reply failed outright. It now works, and the feed bar stays pinned.

  • The Google sign-in button no longer flashes as unavailable, and a failed sign-in lands back on the sign-in page instead of a dead end.

More than one person on a task

v1.2

New

  • Assign more than one person to a task. The board, the task panel and the permission rules all understand additional assignees.

  • Collaborators can see the people they work with, not only the work itself.

  • Onboarding is rebuilt around a live preview, and the plan you pick during it is granted straight away.

Improved

  • Attachments and cover images are served through the app rather than a direct storage link, so access follows the same rules as everything else.

  • The site header shows the right controls for whoever is looking at it, signed in or not.

Fixed

  • Approving a comment could fail outright. It no longer does.

  • A collaborator can no longer start writing a private internal note, and no longer sees agency administration state meant for owners.

  • Live updates reach collaborators in their own workspace room.

Sharper edges and clearer language

v1.1

New

  • Preview a template exactly the way the person receiving it will see it, before you send anything.

  • The view you are looking at lives in the URL, so it survives a reload and can be shared or bookmarked.

Improved

  • One word throughout the product for the people an agency works for: client.

  • New tasks start internal by default, so nothing reaches a client before you decide it should.

Fixed

  • Links written or imported as plain text are clickable again, including everything already saved.

  • Light mode has borders and edges you can actually see, and the selected item in the sidebar reads as selected.

  • The onboarding card no longer flashes on every reload.

Flowcove is live

v1.0

The first public release. Flowcove is a workspace for agencies and the clients they work for: tasks, documents, templates and a client portal in one place.

New

  • Flowcove is live at flowcovehq.com.

Improved

  • One confirmation pattern across the product, so a destructive action always asks the same way — and private notes now look unmistakably private.

  • The form for adding a client validates what it collects instead of accepting anything.

Fixed

  • Dialogs and menus can no longer open off the edge of the screen.

  • Dates read correctly, plan limits are stated plainly, and archived clients can no longer be edited by accident.

  • Settings counts only what is actually active, rather than including archived clients and finished tasks.

  • File uploads work from the live site.
